Cloud 9 Tattoo was founded in 1996 by Artist/ Body Piercer Mark Gripp and opened its doors the same year in downtown St.Cloud MN where business thrived over the course of the next four years, then in April of 2000 we opened our second location in Elk River, MN then after approximately eight years of running both shops we decided to close the St. Cloud location and concentrate on the Elk River shop where we are still thriving and striving to be the best shop in the area. Although numerous other shops have opened up in the area, we still retain the lions share of business for tattooing and remain the only game in town for body piercing.

1) Custom Tattooing

Here at cloud 9 we strive to make your tattoo experience as pleasant and satisfying as possible. We are a full custom shop which means: you think it, we ink it! you can bring us anything as far as a visual reference or just a verbal description and our artists will design a one of a kind tattoo just for you. And then apply it in a timely manner. we are very pain/comfort conscience and try to make your tattoo experience as comfortable as possible by employing an array of dermal numbing products and gentle techniques to lessen, as much as possible, the uncomfortable feeling that comes with the tattoo process.
